Background

PRINCIPLE is a nationally prioritised research study to find treatments for COVID-19 for people in the community who are at higher risk of complications.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) can be more severe in older people, and people with underlying health conditions.  At the moment, there are no specific treatments for use in the community that we know of, that definitely work against COVID-19.  By taking part in this study, you will be contributing towards the understanding of how we can treat COVID-19 and how the symptoms progress.

The study is being offered across the country. You can read more on the study website

PRINCIPLE is being delivered by the University of Oxford and is funded by UK Research and Innovation and the Department for Health and Social Care through the National Institute for Health and Care Research.
